After our Puppet practice at church yesterday, we played on a computer with a fun camera. I thought this shot was pretty cool! Kendra had such a blast seeing the funny faces! She also had a blast again at our puppet practice. She was dancing while sitting in her seat watching. It was so cute! I love hearing her sing too. She sings Jesus Loves Me now too, and it is so cute. We start our puppet ministry at church this Sunday...yea! We are so excited. We have a great group of teens to work with too.

Well, our first day of Potty Training didn't go so badly...Praise God! Thank you to all of you who cheered me on today, and prayed for us too. No, the day is not done yet, but she has already done so well. She officially went both pee pees and poo poos today on the potty! Yea! She even understands enough now to tell me when she has to go. I was so excited after she went poo poo that I think I scared her:)! She wanted the door shut until she was done which I thought was so cute too.
She got 4 M&Ms after her poo poos, and two stickers on her chart. WOW!

What a day! Oh, she even woke up from her nap dry. I was so surprised at that. The book I read to help me in training her is called Potty Wise for all you moms who want to know what method we are using.:) It has worked well so far. She has a cup full of M&Ms in clear sight. Notice the picture I included of them as well as her enjoying eating them after her big poo poo! What a big girl!!! Mommy is so proud of you, Kendra Grace.

ICE CREAM TREAT!

Last night we all went out to Brusters for ice cream because Kendra always gets a free one, and we had a free coupon for one as well, so we decided to go have a special treat! She wanted to wear her pink cowgirl boots, so we brought the camera for fun. We got some of the cutest pictures of her in some construction near by. We will be photoshopping those a bit, and I will post them later:)!
Anyways, here are some pics from last night. Today is the official start of potty training Kendra. She is still sleeping which allows for me to pray a bit more!:) lol

POTTY UPDATE: It is 9:30 and we are still dry in our Big Girl Panties:)!!!! Nothing on the potty yet, but hopefully soon!:)

Potty Training Day #1

Well, I have decided to try and start potty training Kendra. She has many of the ready signs, so here we go. Today we started with her puppy. She has her own puppy big girl panties and everything. Kendra has been having fun "teaching" puppy how to go on the big girl potty today. Tomorrow is Kendra's big day!

We went out yesterday and got all the essentials:)! The library for some potty books, and a potty video. Target for her Big Girl panties. She chose Happy Feet, Dora, and Curious George. She is very excited about them...so far:)! We shall see how it goes tomorrow. We got some M&Ms too. She asked for those all day yesterday, but they are waiting for her to go on the big girl potty tomorrow:). She also has her own Potty Sticker Chart we made today. She painted it while I drew the lines for the stickers. Puppy already got some M&M stickers on the chart today.

Then while we were at Target yesterday, we always look at the shoes just for fun, and to see what is cheap (if any). I have had my eye on some pink cowboy boots for Kendra for a while, but didn't want to spend $15. Yesterday we found them for $3 on clearance!!!!! So, she had fun wearing them around the house today too. I just love them...so cute! Now I just need to find a cute cowboy hat that matches or an outfit! lol But only if I find it for a bargain like the boots!

oh, and for those of you who do not know what happened to Kendra's forehead. She fell at "Aunt Lindsay's house and bonked her head" as she would say:)! It is healing up just great though.

We all went downtown the other night to eat at Sticky Fingers, and while we were waiting for our food Kendra was very curious about Grandma's glasses. So Grandma let her try them on. What a riot:)!! She sure does love her Grandma!

We have so enjoyed having "Ma mu", and "Gampa" here with us. Chris took some new shots of them yesterday that turned out just great! I will post a couple right now, and put more on later once they are edited. These are prior to editing etc. But I knew you all would like a sneak peek!!!:) I am definitely wanting to turn some of them Sepia tone. I just love that!

We love you so much, and are so glad you stayed here with us for a few days. Kendra really loves you both so much too! We are truly blessed to have you in our lives.

Elle is 3 Days Old Already!

Elle has her first doctor appointment today at 4:00! We all got to go see her again this morning, and enjoyed holding and cuddling her so much! She was sun bathing on the couch when we got there, and I thought she was a doll, really!! She is so tiny! And so "precious" as Kendra would say.

Kendra and Evan were "petting her" too. It was so cute:). I absolutely love the picture we got with the three girls! I caught Cindy laughing while holding Elle too (I love that shot as well).

Thought you all would like to see some new pictures. Everything is going great! Lindsay even wants to go downtown tonight to walk around and go to dinner...WOW! She is doing so well!

The glow of a new mom's face is so special to me! I always say, "You have no idea how in love you are going to be until you hold your own child for the first time!!!" What a miracle new life is. One of my favorite verses is, Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you! I can't remember the reference off the top of my head, but I love that verse.

Lindsay, you were glowing today! You did a great job, and will continue to be a great mom to Elle! We love you so much!

I was able to hold Elle for a bit today which was so wonderful! After a few minutes though, Kendra, was wanting me to hold her:) (as you can see on her face in the picture). Then on the way home from the hospital, Kendra crashed! She was out an hour before her usual nap. Like Grandma Wentzel said, "It is hard work being a new cousin:)"!!

Well, here are the pictures we promised:). Kendra is finally in bed, and I have a second to blog them. What an eventful night! Lindsay is doing so well! When we left she was flying high on her sleeping pill, so she was smiling again which was nice! Matt was his usual self...cracking us up:). When he came back to the waiting room to tell us about what the doctor did, we were all cracking up. Oh, the guys point of view...what a riot! For those of you who don't know what he said, you will have to ask me later:).

Kendra had fun playing with Paeton, and even wanted to "go night night" for pretend in Aunt Lindsay's bed while they were getting her ready. Lindsay was so cute as they were wheeling her to her delivery room smiling as we were telling her, "She's gonna have a baby!!" When we left, I think Matt was wishing for one of those sleeping pills too:)! LOL

We are all praying for a safe and healthy delivery! We love you guys!

Oh, yeah, by the way, when you post your comment post your best guess for time of birth and weight of little Elle! Chris says, "7:20am, and weigh 7 pounds 10-13 oz. I say, "6:47 and weigh 7 pounds 2 oz.

While Kendra was playing this morning, she she fell and hit her nose on the edge of our coffee table. She fell and hit her ear last night on our window molding, so she has been bruising herself up pretty good the last couple of days. She gets so excited playing with daddy (hide & seek) that sometimes while running she wipes out of course.

I thought I would take a picture of her wound today for me to journal. Let me just say that a Dora popsicle makes it all better:)!!!

Kid's Commandment #2-3

The personality that I have often times can look like this comic. Oh, Lord, help me:)! Chris is so good for me in this area because he always finds the good in things, and is teaching me to do the same! Thank goodness, God is not finished with me yet:)!!

Here are two new kid's commandments for today!

#2.: My eyes have not seen the world as yours have; please let me explore safely; don't restrict me unnecessarily.

#3.: Housework will always be there. I'm only little for such a short time-please take time to explain things to me about this wonderful world, and do so willingly.

One of my favorite simple quotes I learned in college was, "People are more important than Things!" That is one thing I try to practice in my life. I am learning to drop whatever I am doing if Kendra needs me because I know she is only going to be this little for a short while!

Chris was wondering why I didn't post any pics of the boys doing the fireworks, and I didn't remember even taking them:). Well, I found them on the other camera, and so I am posting them now. Better late than never, I guess.:) I only took a couple, but there is video of the show they put on that maybe we can post later.

Chris and Matt had so much fun giving us our own fireworks show at home. It was so nice just hanging out, and they had fun shooting them off too.

Our House!

Here are some shots of our great room (almost done)! I actually just found the berry garland at Hobby Lobby yesterday half off, so that is a cute little addition. This at least gives you all an idea of what we have done so far. The chandelier in the dining area is next to go. I really don't like that at all. I found one that goes perfectly at Home Depot once funds are available:)! I also snapped a quick picture of Kendra's bathroom. Needs to be painted still, but at least you can see her theme in there. And the screened in porch is such a nice thing to have too. We love having that!

Kendra's room is next to be finished (today hopefully) so I will have shots up of that next. Then, we have to finish painting our bedroom next.

So, Leah, I posted some even if it is all not done yet (just for you:))! More to come soon!!:)

The book I am reading right now is great! At the end of the book, Leman had "A Child's Ten Commandments To Parents", and I thought they were great, so I am going to share them one day at a time. That way it gives you all something to look forward to everyday.

Where Does the Time Go???

I was going through Kendra's baby pictures (trying to organize for scrapbooking), and came across her 7 week old baby pictures. Wow! Where does the time go? I cannot believe how fast it goes by, but I remember this day so well. She did so well for her first professional picture shoot. I think I bought every pose (and so did my mom). We crack up now at ourselves with all those pictures. But, I must say, I am glad we have them, and don't wish we would've taken more:)!! They grow up way too fast!

The other picture is another one from Kendra's two year photo shoot we did. One of her favorite things to do is say, "hold, hold, hold" when she sees something she likes or wants to hold. I was getting her to smile by using one of her favorite play bugs and sticking it in the flowers we used for the pictures. She was laughing, and asking to hold it too:)!

Monkey Joes!

Chris and I took Kendra to Monkey Joes on Saturday before we had to go to film our wedding. What a blast!! Chris got Kendra a free jump pass, so it didn't cost us anything to take her either which is always a plus:). I think it is a chain, so if you go online you could see if there is one near you. It is such a fun place for kids and adults! Chris and I had fun climbing and sliding too.

Kendra was sliding down slides by herself that took my stomach away. She amazes all at how brave she is for her age. She did love to hang out in the 3 and under inflatable too though, so she is still my "baby" :) lol!

"Let's Go Fly a Kite!"

We tried to fly Kendra's new kite from Uncle Matt and Aunt Lindsay yesterday afternoon when Kendra got up from her nap. I say try because it got caught in a tree:)! Chris had it up really high, but wouldn't you know it, the wind died down, and crash into the tree! "Oh, no!!" was all Kendra was saying. Daddy got it out (of our neighbors tree):), and we decided to wait another day to try that again. Next time we need to go to an open field:)!! LOL

It was fun anyways!

First Fishing Trip!

We took Kendra out for her first real fishing experience last night. And wouldn't you know it, my camera battery died as she was reeling in her very first fish!!! All we could do is laugh, and say, "Oh, well, we'll get it next time!" The last picture I took is of Chris and her reeling it in. It was a little baby bass. So we told her she caught her first bass, and that was all she kept on talking about...her bass! So cute! She even "pet" the fish!:) (With a huge smile on her face too!) What a kid!

I have been learning our camera more and more, and I will put two different pictures on here that are the same shot, but look at the difference. Pretty cool what you can do once you learn the camera:)! Chris is still teaching me a lot, but I was pretty proud of myself, and the cool shot I got of Chris and Kendra with the sunset.

Hopefully next fishing trip I will remember the extra battery so we can get shots of her fish!:) lol

Our New Dog!

My sister, Caryl's dog, Eden, is living with us for a "trial run" as she calls it:). She was thinking about getting rid of her because she is just so busy etc., and we just didn't want that!! So, she is our new dog if Aunt Caryl can stand that:). Even if it is just for now, we are enjoying her so much!

Today she went for a walk with Kendra and I. She played outside, and loves getting brushed, and of course her special new doggie treats Kendra picked out just for her.

4th of July Party!

We had such a fun 4th Party! Kendra had her little friend, Haley, come so that was great! They play so nice together! Haley got Kendra a new Dora sprinkler for her birthday, so they had fun running through that together! Then, they played in the pool, and filled it up together. Uncle Matt kept bending the hose to stop the water, and they had so much fun with that!

We were all cracking up as the girls would stick their face in front of the hose looking down wondering where the water went to, and then Matt would release the water, and "Swoosh!!" They were spraying each other, and basically entertaining all us adults:)!! It was great! I should've snapped a picture of each adult cracking up at the girls! That would've been great!

The guys had a blast with the fireworks (Chris is hoping to post some video)! It is amazing how nice they were! They did a great job!! Chris did some "snakes" with the girls which they loved too! We will just have to post some video (in our spare time, ha ha!!:))

We had some great food! Thanks, mom, for making the best potato salad there is :), pasta salad, baked beans, thanks, Ashley for the great fruit salad, and thanks Aunt Lindsay for the yummy dessert!! We also had to have some SMORES!! CAUSE A PARTY JUST ISN'T COMPLETE WITHOUT CHOCOLATE:)!!!

Kendra's 2 Year Photo Shoot

Chris and I did Kendra's two year pictures today ourselves. It is so nice to do our own photo shoots now! I will be printing some, and make sure you all get a new picture really soon! Here are just a couple of our favorites from today.

I picked some flowers from our yard to use in the shoot, and she had so much fun smelling, looking, and then tearing them apart:)! She must've worked up quite the appetite having her pictures done because after we were finished she wanted one of her favorite snacks...BANANA! I had to get a shot of her enjoying that too:)!

Wanna Be Like Daddy!!

Kendra was cracking us up yesterday wanting to prance around the house in Daddy's jeans. She was in the bedroom trying to put them on herself, but then decided to call to us for help:). So, Daddy showed her how to hold them up by the pockets, and she ran around falling into everything giggling the whole time. I should've had the video camera, but sometimes the digital is easier to grab quick:).

Looking at these pictures reminded me of the song by Philips Craig and Dean...
I want to be like HIM, cause she wants to be like me! I love that song! ( I know it is he wants to be like me, but I had to change it up:))!

Family Weekend!!

It has been so nice to not have to film a wedding this weekend! We blocked this weekend off for the family reunion in MI, but we had the wrong date:). So, we still kept it open to just be able to spend time with family. It has been great!

We went out last night with Matt and Lindsay to Olive Garden, and then to Brusters for some yummy ice cream. Matt was riding Kendra's new fish while we were at the house too. He was almost as fast as Kendra:)!!

Today we went to pick up a Little Tikes Kitchen set for Kendra with her money from Grandma and Grandpa Wentzel for her birthday! I found it on my favorite site (yes, Craigslist:))!!! She just loves it! I am so glad we could find one for a good deal for her. Thank you so much, Grandpa & Grandma!

Tonight we are going to go see Ratatouille with her. We are looking forward to that too. It has just been a blessing to spend time with family!

Oh, and the other picture is from last night before Kendra went to bed. She wanted to sit with me while the Hello Kitty innertube was wrapped around us. She is so funny:).

"Fishing" with Daddy!

Last night we took a break from work, and took Kendra out for a "special treat" to Brusters for ice cream. They have a neat thing they do there for kids under a certain height. FREE ICE CREAM with sprinkles and eyes. So the whole way there Kendra was saying, "Special treat with sprinkles and eyes!!" She is talking so much now it amazes us! She reached two, and says words we didn't even know she knew. She surprises us every day with more words!

Last night it was, "Air, please, daddy", and "Fireworks", and "Napkin, please"! She was asking for the air conditioner to be turned on in the car b/c she was hot. Then before we left we were talking about going to get fireworks for our 4th BBQ, and she must've overheard us, so on the way to get ice cream all of a sudden she said, "fireworks, too!" :) And then as we were eating dinner she said, "Napkin, please!" So her vocabulary is growing faster than we can even keep track of! She is doing well!!

But before we even left, she wanted to open her special birthday present that Daddy got her (her very own princess fishing pole). She had been waiting for daddy to open it with her. So they went out in the front yard and went fishing. Kendra did very well for her first time! She would reel in all by herself, and even tried to cast alone. "WATCH OUT, DADDY!!!!":) lol
We are planning on taking her out to the lake this weekend for some real fishing!!!

Oh, mommy tried once with her too, and I got it caught in the tree...that is what she is pointing at:)! Daddy got it out though! "Good job, Daddy!"

Playing at the Park!

We went to the park with Hannah and Devon today, and had so much fun. Hannah is such a cutie! She was in such a happy mood. I loved snapping some new pictures of her today too. That is in between making sure Kendra didn't slip and fall as she was climbing everything!!! She loved this playground! She kept hanging from the bar (too high off the ground for my comfort) while saying "I'm a monkey!" It was so funny. Aunt Devon kept giving her big high fives for being such a brave girl:). Yes, Kendra has very few fears:).

Then she found a huge stick that she was so proud of finding saying, "LOOK, LOOK!!!". It was bigger than her:). She also was very excited about wearing her tennis shoes so sand didn't get in them today. She kept pointing to them, and telling Aunt Devon that she was wearing "Nike shoes!"

Thanks for playing today, Devon and Hannah! We love you both so much!! We hope you have a nice vacation.

Birthday Shirt!

Kendra got so many cute clothes for her birthday! The video last night showed one (from Aunt Lindsay & Uncle Matt), and this one today is from Nana & Papi! I think I love new clothes for Kendra more than myself now:)! It is so fun! Thanks again everyone for all the cute new clothes, and jammies.

We went to the zoo today, and the camera had a dead battery which I didn't realize until we got there, so I will have to take it on our next zoo trip. We are planning a family weekend this weekend since we don't have a wedding for once...Yea! So maybe we will all go together then.

Kendra's favorite thing to do today at the zoo was run through the mist. Her hair was dripping when I finally pulled her away from it:). She kept running through it giggling, and was also covering the hole with her finger where the water comes out cracking herself up:)! It was cute. Wish I had my camera. Next time:)!

Presents from the north! No not Santa!

Kendra absolutely loved all of her toys that she got from you guys! She was more worried about her new "geckos" than the money for her new swing set that I am going to build for her. We wish you guys could have been here for her party but we know the distance makes that a little bit difficult. Next years reunion is the same weekend as her birthday so we will get to spend the next birthday in Michigan. Thanks again for all of her toys and as you can see in her video she had a ton of fun opening them up. We love you guys!

P.S. As some of you don't know and can see in the video I work at pizza hut whenever I am able, delivering pizzas.

Wow! What a celebration we had!

HIGHLIGHTS!

14 adults, and 4 kids ranging from 7 months to 4 years old, oh, correction (as Matt reminded me:)), 5 kids ranging from 0- 4 years old. Sorry, baby Elle! I cannot wait to see what you look like!!:) She will be here so soon!!! yea!

And the highlight for Chris and I was when we were tucking Kendra into bed last night. We always pray with her, and lately she has been repeating after us each night (which we just love to hear)! Last night she surprised us by throwing in her own addition to the prayer. We were praying right along with Dear Jesus, thank you for my party, and for Your love, and she said, "and cake too!!!" lol Chris was laughing so hard his whole body was shaking:)! I was trying to hold it together and finish the prayer. So, I guess she LOVED her cake:)! We were just so blessed to hear her thank God for her cake all on her own:)! Those are just the things I wish we had on video.

Speaking of video...chris is hoping to throw one together so you can see footage from her day too.

Her First Birthday Present

On Kendra's real birthday (Saturday) we gave her one of her special presents. It was a My Little Pony set where the "mama pony" (as Kendra calls her:) eyes blink, and her horn and gown light up. She loves playing with them. She combs their hair, puts on her fancy shoes, and loves to push the star to make her light up. How fun!

As Chris was editing today, she put on his head phones, and asked for some music please. So he snapped a cute picture.

She loves music, and she loves to wear daddy's headphones! She will be helping us with our business before too long:)! lol If she was chosing wedding music for our videos it would be Diego's Theme song.:)

"Cheese Pizza", "Eggs & Cheese"

Last night Chris and I were laughing so hard:)! We like to read books with Kendra before bed, and last night one of the books Kendra chose was about a little girl who ate pizza at the end of the story. After I was finished reading her the book, she got up to do what I thought was go to her bed, but no. She went to the kitchen, climbed up into her chair, buckled herself in, and said, "cheese pizza, please". Then it turned into "eggs & cheese" (must've sounded good to her:)). So here it is 9:30 at night now, and she is asking for eggs and cheese. :)

Chris was in his office cracking up while I am trying to explain to Kendra that we just brushed her teeth, and it was time for bed, not eggs and cheese time:).

So, I unbuckled her, and we prayed with her, and she went to bed like usual. No complaints. What a sweet heart:)!!!

I did take some video of this episode. If we have time in between weddings, I will post some of that footage:). What a crack up!

Her New BIG Pool!

We bought Kendra a new pool at Walmart for a big price of $9, and let me just say...she LOVES IT! She can actually go down her Little Tikes slide now without running into the side of her pool:).lol

She also likes to "fish" in her pool. She has a big stick she found, and throws daddy's work gloves in there, and fishes them out:). It is so funny! Daddy loves her new joy for fishing too. He actually bought her her own little princess fishing pole for her birthday too. He cannot wait to take her out!

Well, tomorrow is the big day...TWO YEARS OLD! I cannot believe it! We have two weddings to film tomorrow, so we are celebrating her bday on Sunday. She is having her two little friends, Molly and Claire over to celebrate it with her:). She wanted Hayley to come over of course too, but they are on vacation, unfortunately. It will be a fun time with family and friends. We have 14 adults coming over, so it will be great!

We just went out today and got the hot dogs etc. so we are all ready for the big celebration. How fun! I am tired of hiding Kendra's birthday presents too:). She is becoming way to smart, and keeps finding them wherever I hide them. The big boxes in the garage are the hardest to keep hidden. And if I wrap them it will draw even more attention, and you know who will tear right into them while saying "surprise" the whole time:).

Anyways, I will post birthday pics etc. as soon as I can after her party on Sunday.

Resemblance?

I need to get a picture of Chris at Kendra's age too (mom Wentzel:)). I love comparing Kendra with my old baby pictures. It is so fun to see the resemblance:). The picture of me holding the sweet roll was actually taken the morning of my two year birthday, so I thought that was neat to compare it with Kendra. I think if Kendra's hair was cut like mine was that would make a big difference too of course. But she definitely has lighter hair that I did at this age.
The amazing thing to us is the miracle a little child is. And what a blessing she is to all of us. She definitely looks like her daddy so much too, and I would love some pictures of Chris as a baby (hint hint, Mom W:)!!)

Daddy's Day!

We had such a great Father's Day with our Dads! Chris wanted to have a grill out (of course:), so we went to Bloom (the coolest new grocery store chain down here), and he picked out a huge steak! Notice the picture:). He really enjoyed it to say the least. He called himself the Grill Master, and grilled everyones meat. Well, Devon's Boca burger since she doesn't eat red meat:). We had such a nice time just hangin out. Thanks again, Chris, for grilling all of our meat so perfectly!

Chris had a blast (as usual) playing with Kendra so I snapped some pictures of them together. Notice the one of them standing by the door. They are both counting (see their fingers:)) before taking off in their "race". I love seeing them play together. Chris is so good with her, and it always melts my heart to see them laugh and play together. He is such a great Daddy!
Oh, and Chris' present of choice for his Dad's Day was a new weed eater from his favorite store...Home Depot. Kendra also gave her daddy a special card, and set of coasters from Shutterfly with the pictures he took of her (I think that was his favorite gift:)).
We love you so much, Chris, and are so blessed to have you in our lives.

Almost Two!

We had such a great Father's Day today! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful daddy! Tonight we had everyone over for steaks etc. on the grill (Chris' choice), and then Black Cherry ice cream for dessert (my dad's choice:)). While Chris was the "Grill Master" (as he calls himself), we were playing with Kendra and the video camera. We caught her saying a few cute phrases.

She is becoming quite the little talker. "What's that noise" is one of her favorite sentences to say. She has always been so sensitive to noises, and now she can ask us, "What's that noise?" :) Caryl taught her to say "What's up, Baby" yesterday when she was watching her, and she says "What's up, Papi" etc. too. She also likes to say "Peace Baby", and my favorite thing she said today was "Crazy, Daddy!":) and my new favorite thing to hear her say every day is "Hold you, Daddy" when she wants daddy to cuddle with her. I just love that!!!

We love you all, and we hope you had a nice Father's Day as well.

By the way, she was obsessed throughout the whole video with her green cherry tomato she picked from outside:). She loves to pick and eat the tomatoes off our plants...even if they are green. I caught her tonight, and it was on the island. That is why she says yucky tomato, and was trying to climb up throughout the whole video:).

Miss Independent!

We went to Lindsay's pool today, and had so much fun. Kendra surprised all of us at how brave she was. I got her a suit this summer that supposedly helps them build confidence and swim on their own. Well, let me tell you all...it works! She went right out there, and swam and swam and swam. I wish I would've had the video camera today, but I will make sure and have it next time. Before we even left she was so cute, and so excited. Daddy shot a couple of pictures of us at the door ready to go before he went to work. She kept saying "bye bye, daddy, c you, lindsay's pool"! In other words, Let me just go, ok? No more pictures please:).

She wanted to jump into the deep end too, but I told her that that was for the Daddys to swim in. The mommys and kids stay over in the shallow end:)lol! Since it was all moms and kids there today that worked. I don't mind if she swims in the deep end, but I have to say, I wasn't wanting to swim in the deep end:). I didn't expect her to do so well. She would be swimming in the shallow end, and then end up all the way out at the rope that divides the shallow water from the deep, and I would have to go get her to turn her back towards us:). She is crazy, but we already knew that!!!

Whenever she sees Lindsay now she says hi to "baby Elle" too. It is so cute to hear her say. If she sees a picture of Lindsay, and I ask her who is in her tummy she will answer with "baby Elle"! I need to video her saying that for you all. I did catch a shot of Kendra patting baby Elle today too. How cute:). Elle and Kendra are going to be such buddies! I love it!

Daddy was working today, and was so bummed he couldn't be there so we are going to go again on Sunday if it is nice weather. That way Uncle Matt and Daddy can swim too:). How fun!

She still loves her car!

Kendra still loves to go for walks in her car. She walks with me most of the time, but once in a while she still wants to "drive":). We take a walk every morning to her favorite tree in our sub. It is low to the ground so she loves playing under it. It is great!
She has also now graduated from the riding in the shopping cart. She walks next to me or helps me push. She does a great job staying with me too. She is becoming a great shopper:)!! So fun!

Kendra's Big Girl Bed!

We set Kendra's big girl bed up today, and she was so excited! We got it for free from a couple on Craigslist which is cool. Her crib transitions into a toddler bed as well as a full size bed, but we knew she would enjoy this house bed even more.
She kept saying "Big Girl" over and over while pretending to go to sleep. It was so cute. When her nap actually came, she wasn't too sure at first, but she ended up taking her first nap just fine in her new bed (2 1/2 hour nap:))!

One of the things we all love about Kendra is the great hugs (with her arms:)) she gives. She is such a cuddly little thing. One of the many highlights of my days are when out of the blue she will come up and put her arm around my neck, hug me, and say "hi, mommy"! It makes me tear up sometimes. Speaking of tearing up, tonight when Chris was praying before we tucked her into bed, Kendra was repeating the prayer back, and then after saying amen, looked up at us with a huge smile on her face:). It also making me tear up. What a great way to end the day!

Our Little Girl

Our little girl is almost two. It is so hard to believe. She is our little ham, and loves life. She gives everything all she has, and is such a sweet little girl. We are truly blessed with such a great kid. Praise God for an obedient, sweet, and fun little girl.
Who by the way when I ask her how old she is now will dramatically answer, "TWO!!!!". I need to video her saying it and post it for you all. It is so cute (but I am a proud mommy too:)).

I sure do love Kendra's love for books! As a former school teacher, it is one of my greatest joys:)! Yes, Kendra loves movies and TV too, but I am so very thankful that she will sit with me anytime for a good book (many in one sitting now too). And we actually get through more than the first page:).
I picked her up a new At the Farm book at the Target Dollar Spot that she just loves. It has Peek a Boo spots to lift up, and she will race through it naming off all the animals or secret hidden objects as fast as she can. It is so cute.
So today as soon as she woke up from her nap she wanted to look through it with me, and Chris captured some cute shots.

Kendra's Surprise Today!

Grandma and Grandpa Wentzel sent Kendra a fun filled package that she got in the mail today. She was so excited as you can see all over her face in the picture I shot as she saw inside:)!
Everyone that came over found out about the box as soon as they walked in the door. I captured some fun moments as she opened up the box. She just couldn't wait for me to cut open the box. As soon as I did, her face just lit up. "Oh, boy", "surprise", "BUGS!!!", "Shrek, donkey, kitty cat", "eat, candy!", "open", "kiss" (as she was giving her chick a kiss), "Bawk, bawk" (you can actually see her lips in motion getting ready to say it in the picture:)), and "balls" were a few of the things she said as she opened her box. As you can see in the pictures she was in the pool when the box came to our door, so she was still in her swim suit as she dug into it:)! Notice the pictures of her eating her "balls" candy. She loved those! Her tongue was digging them out of the package. She was cracking me up.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for the box of goodies! Kendra really enjoyed it. Thank you for your constant love and prayers. We love you so much!

My Birthday Party!

We had such a great time for my birthday party. I just love spending time with my family. For those of you who know my dad really well, I put the picture of him in there with his finger up in the air for you:). He was telling a story, and I happened to capture him at the right moment!:) All you past soccer players will love that!!
I also love the picture of Hannah Marie with her nose wrinkled. And then I put a new picture of Caryl in there too with her great boyfriend, Matt.
Kendra was having fun playing with Aunt Devon's bracelets too. We had a big barbeque, thanks, Chris:)! He was the master griller! We had so much good food! Everyone brought something yummy...chips and dip, deviled eggs, burger, hot dogs, potato salad, tabouli, guacomole, fruit salad, and thanks, Ceej, for the incredible chocolate cake worth every calorie:)!!

Yesterday the North Hills Community Church (where we attend) had a big last get together picnic for all the boys and families that were in the After School Program that I have been a part of since February. So, I brought Kendra (Chris was working). She had so much fun cheering the boys on in soccer and basketball. The hard part was keeping her from running on the field.

She would get so into the games (my dad would've been so proud)! She would say "ohhhh" when they would miss a shot, and clap when anyone would score while saying "Yea!!!" It was great:). She dragged around the ball bag for a bit too wanting to take them all out.

Another highlight was Fruit Punch! They had big coolers with water, lemonade, and fruit punch in them. Kendra has never had red punch before, and she had her first taste. She wasn't too sure about it. It was cute:)! She chowed down a hot dog from the grill, and just had a blast! She had the cutest rosey cheeks when we were done. Wish I had a picture of that. It was 80+ degrees out there.

But, here are a couple of shots of her signing more, and laughing as I am throwing a soccer ball "high" (as she requests) in the air.

Kendra's "Gecko"!!!

Daddy caught her a "gecko" as she says in our front yard today. She was so excited! She absolutely LOVES lizards, snakes, frogs, etc. She is an animal lover to say the least! So she kept saying "hold him" while holding her hands out in front of her (wish I had that part on camera:)).

Chris being the wonderful Daddy that he is decided to take a family ride down to Pet's Mart to get a "house" for her new pet. She was so excited!

Our weekend!

We had a very busy and eventful weekend in Savannah, GA! It was great! We filmed and shot a wedding there. The pictures turned out great, and they were fun to work with. Their reception was at Vic's on the River, and it was just beautiful!
Chris loved his Prime Rib dinner they had (so did I:)).

We drove back after the wedding b/c we didn't want to stay another night away from Kendra (it was already 2 nights gone), so that brought us home at 6 am..yikes! We were so tired, and Kendra was so excited we were home hearing us, she wanted up at 6:20. So we slept when she had her afternoon nap, crazy day! But it was so nice to see her again, and we enjoyed it together!

I will be posting some pics as soon as I can. The cameras and other computer are busy with work stuff right now, but I wanted to at least give you all an update.

Kendra and her best friend Haley got to play yesterday, and had a blast!

They played in the pool, and got so dirty that then they needed a bath, so I did their hair all silly, and they giggled together for a while about it:)! I had so much fun with them yesterday! They had matching swim suits too just by chance! That was cool, and they looked oh, so cute in them:)!

They get along so well. Each would take turns going down the slide into the pool, shared bubbles, and Kendra even gave her a frog and gecko (which are very special to her:)) to Haley to take home with her. So sweet, and such buddies!

Then, after their naps, we found a lady bug, and had fun playing with him until we let him go outside again. We just had a busy and fun day!

Our Little Ham

Kendra' Room in the works

Here are a couple of shots of Kendra's room still in progress, and her Big Girl bed is soon to come! It is so cute with a house headboard. Someone gave it to us, so that was another blessing, and then it just happened to match her bedroom theme perfectly. I need to still put all her cute little things up like her shelf, pictures, and hand cut letters that spell her name that Daddy made for her. I just love them! We just haven't had a second to do it yet. I will post more pics once all the rooms are all done. We need to finish painting our room still. We used the Ralph Lauren paint that is suede finish, and takes some work to do. Looks great when done, but we haven't had time to do more than one wall so far.

It is really looking nice, and is sure a blessing to have such a nice home. Kendra loves the big yard, and our screened in porch is great too! Chris bought me a wicker furniture set for the porch for Mother's Day! What a nice surprise that was:)!
We love our neighborhood, and have kind neighbors. Our one lady right next door to us does not speak English, so once again I wish I knew Spanish :).

We are surrounded by neighbors who go to different churches in the area, so that is nice too. I have had many offer to watch Kendra anytime I need help, but you know me...I don't leave her with just anyone:)! But, anyways, all that to say God has blessed us in a great neighborhood with a great house!

Yea, a NEW POST!

Well, we finally have internet/email here at our new house. It was quite an ordeal, so we are just glad to have it again. I have so much to post, and yes, Leah, too many pictures to try and post too:). lol!!!

These pictures Chris just took of Kendra on Sunday morning as we were getting ready for church. She didn't know he was taking them until the last picture. She was trying to put on Chris' shorts. What a riot it was to watch her do so. She kept saying, "wear, wear, wear, Daddy's" as she was trying to get them to stay on. She finally managed to get into one leg of them, and then at last held them up for a final shot:)! It was so funny!

She is growing up to fast as I always say, and she is such a great kid! What a sweetie, and a blessing she is! She will be two in a little over a month now...crazy! She is talking like crazy, and LOVES her pool! Loves to play with her sticky frogs and geckos, read books, play outside in the yard, go shopping (yea!!), and play with her best friend, Haley.

I picked up a new video for Kendra at Family Christian Bookstore the other day, and let me just say that it was a great purchase! She loves it, and so do I! It teaches so many great things, and it really makes her giggle which I always love to hear. There are a lot of songs, a whole family (mom & dad), twins who get along:), and the big green bear, Boz who Kendra loves!

They pray at the close of each episode which I really like too. They show family mealtime all together again with prayer too.

I know many of you do not know Zac, but knew you would get a blessing out of this so I am posting it. We sang in church last Sunday (my dad, Caryl, and I). That in and of itself was special to us, but then a little boy named Zac played the drums during our song.

The cool thing about this is that he is only 7 years old!

Yes, they are real animals!! She had so much fun with them. I think it was her favorite portrait session yet:). The funniest part was when she was all done. The sheep was so glad to be done that she kicked off her diaper, yes, she was wearing a diaper (and Kendra thought that was so funny). Kendra immediately pointed and said, "aw, nuts!!" We were all cracking up.

Kendra just loves playing Peek a Boo on the front porch. She never grows tired of it. I was practicing with the camera again yesterday, so I captured some fun moments with her. Each time she plays peek a boo, she has to stick her leg up behind her. It just cracks me up.

Kendra's "mommy" haircut

I am still working on getting Kendra's hair all one length, and let me just say it is quite a process. Yesterday I decided to cut her hair myself. I strapped her in her booster seat, and snipped away. I cut 2 inches off the back so it is getting closer to being one length...yea!

Kendra just loves Winnie the Pooh videos, however, they have now given her a fear of bees:)! She gets very concerned for Winnie and his friends when the bees are chasing them. Anyways, yesterday while we were playing outside a HUGE bumble bee came around. Being the "awful" mother I am, I just had to snap a picture because it cracked me up:)! I know that is horrible isn't it?

Notice in the picture the bee on the top left. Kendra was so scared to move she just kept yelling "no, mommy...bee, bee, bee"...lol! Great picture, I thought! And it was quite comical, really:)!

Kendra just loves Eden (my sister Caryl's dog). The other day she gave her a bath, and just thought it was great! She really enjoyed dumping the water on her "like mommy does" to Kendra! Then she enjoyed cuddling with her after the bath was all done. What a sweet picture!

Oh, by the way, I got some new Easter pictures done of Kendra the other day, but they won't be in for a couple of weeks. I actually took her to a studio that had live bunnies AND LAMBS! Once I get them back, I will post them. They turned out really cute, and she had so much fun with the animals. I will fill you in on all the details in a couple of weeks when I post the pictures.

Our new house

Many of you have asked to see the before picture of our house. Before we did the work. I dug one up today...so here it is. Very white before!! (and check out the big old track lighting that was there) I like it so much better now, and we are having so much fun making it ours now too.

I have also included a couple of pictures of the outside for those who wanted to see that as well. We will (Lord willing) be in our new place in a couple of weeks (or sooner). As soon as we get it all painted, and ready we will started moving stuff in. HOW FUN!!

New Family Photo Shoot!

Our business website desperately needed a new family photo, so we took some new shots today. We had such a fun time doing it too. Kendra always makes picture taking so much fun.
She was so cute. Everytime we would say, "ok, look at the light on the camera", she would look and pose with an adorable smile saying "cheese" the whole time. Crack us up! Then after our shots were done, she went right back up to the prop and started posing for us.
Yes, she is used to the camera, and loves to see her shots when we are done taking them...we are in BIG trouble!!!!lol

Our New House!

Our new house is starting to look like our own! Matt and Lindsey said it looks a lot like a Starbucks which is ok by us. We had a fun and profitable weekend working on it. The kitchen/great room are almost done being painted, and Chris and Matt hung the new track lights. They look great! After a lot of goofing around with the old track lights(from the 1970's:)), they decided to get "serious" and hang the new ones:). Linds and I tried to keep the boys in line. And as many of you know...that is a HARD task!:) Ask Chris about the paint on the ceiling, and Matt about the paint on our brand new carpet!!!:)
Thanks to Lindsey, the paint on the carpet is gone, but the ceiling still has a brown polka dot for some reason.
We are hoping to get the rest of the painting done soon. And will post more pictures as more work gets done.

Kendra was being such a ham the other day that I was snapping pictures like crazy. She was playing Peek A Boo around the pillar on the front porch over and over again, and smiling bigger each time. She was laughing at her foot that she would have in the air behind her too. I wish I had a good picture to show that. But, the picture was so cute that I made it a Birthday card for her Great Gram Corey. Happy Birthday, Grams! We love you!

Well, we tried again, Devon:)! Trying to get a cute picture of the two girls together is so hard!!! Devon and I enjoyed the moment, but Chris wasn't so sure it was something to laugh at:)! Each time Kendra would be smiling and cute, Hannah wouldn't be, and then when Hannah was ready, Kendra was "all done" as she would say:).

So all we could do was say, we'll try again another day. These are the only two decent pictures I got. April 3rd, we are going to try again for Easter shots. We are going to Kids Shots because they have real bunnies. We are going to try and find matching Easter dresses for them to wear...how fun:)!

We had such a great visit with Chris' parents when they came. It was such a nice break from the Michigan weather for them too! I think some of the things we will never forget are: #1: BUBBLES!!! Right, Grandma?:) #2: The chicken taking a bite on Kendra's finger at the zoo:), and #3: "Browns" from Chik-fila. We enjoyed going downtown, and of course...Stevie B's Pizza Buffet!

"Wanna be like Mommy"!

We were getting ready to go to Gymboree class this morning when Kendra requested to wear her sunglasses like mommy:). So daddy wanted to snap a picture before we headed out the door. Kendra is our little poser now for pictures. We say "Look at daddy", and she even cocks her head while saying cheese:)lol...what a riot!

What a fun kid! Oh, and she had a new boy in her class today, and let me just say he was quite the bully. Kendra gave him her angry eyebrows a few times, but no one was hurt:)!

My good friend, Karis kindly let me know today that I needed to update our blog. So, I am doing so. Yes, they are wedding pictures because I must say that has been our life for quite some time now (no complaints!). We love it!! For those of you who do not know what we do, you can go to www.cinematicimpressions.com to see:). I must say it is truly a blessing from the Lord to be able to both work from home, and love what we do.

I also am patiently waiting for the new pictures of Grandpa and Grandma Wentzel's visit here last week. Chris put them on his laptop, but I cannot transfer them to the computer I use for blogging until he puts them onto a CD, and yes, he is a hair busy:) (again no complaints!)

We thank the Lord for the 20+ events we have coming up this summer. Praise God! Our books are filling up.

I do have some quick Kendra news too for those who are still reading:). She said her first complete sentence yesterday. And I must say that it is one that just melts my heart every time she says it..."I Love You". I will have to try and post video of it soon (in our spare time:)).

4 Years already!

I cannot believe it has already been four years ago since Chris and I said "We do"! Time goes by so fast, and what a great reminder to us all to cherish each and every moment!!

Chris took me away for the weekend to Atlanta to celebrate, and it was great! We felt like a young dating couple again (yeah, I know...we are still, just don't always feel like it:)) My parents watched Kendra so she had fun too which always makes it easier on a mom to go away. Our hotel room was right downtown, so we walked to The Coke World, a fabulous Italian Restaurant called Azios, and we also went to the new Georgia Aquarium which was amazing! Friday night we also took the car for a quick trip to IKEA. Such a great store!!
They have the neatest things. Look at ikea.com sometime. Very good prices too!!FYI:)

I am so thankful that the Lord brought Chris into my life. He is the best husband, and daddy that we could ever ask for. So unselfish, loving, and a godly example to us daily! Thank you, Chris, for four wonderful years! We love you!

I Love Playing with Kendra!

I love having a toddler at home, and just being able to play! Kendra still loves going outside, and I am so thankful I don't have to bundle her up (and me too!). Yesterday she got the biggest kick out of just tearing the leaves apart, and holding them up into the wind to see them fly.

She absolutely loves Winnie the Pooh, and Bob (Veggie Tales) right now! Whenever we are not reading, coloring, playing outside, throwing the dog's bone, or eating, we are watching Veggie Tales or Winnie the Pooh! Her new favorite thing to say from the Winnie the Pooh movie is "Aw, nuts!" Because all the acorns fall out of the tree, and she always yells..."Aw nuts!"

She also loves to play with her new Leapster game system from Grandma and Grandpa Wentzel...as you can see in the picture :)!

Some of these are from Christmas with my family, and I am just now getting around to posting them. Oh, well, better late than never:)!
Hannah Marie is getting so big. It was fun for me to see these pics tonight. She is already almost 3 months old...wow! I am actually going to have a photo session with her and Kendra next week for her 3 month pics, so I will be sure to post some of them.

I love the pictures of Kendra with her TMX Elmo too. She just loves him! I will post some more tomorrow hopefully. I have so many fun pics to post still.

The Motherly Instinct

Grandma & Grandpa Wentzel bought Kendra the cutest little bear for Christmas. It cries when it needs its bottle, and then will fall asleep after you feed it (and it actually snores:))!
Kendra just loves it! And her little motherly instinct kicks in full gear! She doesn't like it when he cries, and rushes to get the bottle to put him to sleep. She had just woken up from her nap the other day (notice the bed head:)), and she ran to find her bear so I snapped some quick pics to post. Yes, Mike, she actually has NO BOW in her hair in the top picture :) lol!

Puppets for Christ!

I just love the Chick Fil-A Restaurants down here! They do neat things for kids each week, and one of the things they do is Puppets for Christ. So, we get Kendra the Chicken Kids Meal, and chill and watch the show. She just LOVES IT! She is always very sad when it is over!
They have a cute story line, and sing to many great songs...even some of the old Patch the Pirate from when I was a kid! How funny!
